Reading Napoleon Hill's books I discovered the needed mentor for my life problems.
I am learning and relearning few things every time I open his books. I will share with you here only two ideas I have got for life.
"Grow Rich with Peace of Mind" helped me to put in order my life priorities. Napoleon Hill published that book in 1967, when he was 84 years old. This age perspective sorts out a lot of "noise." The list and the essay about "The twelve Riches of Life" are enlightening.
Napoleon Hill helped me to recognize my real needs. When you read his book and follow his arguments you may recognize that many if not all needs are coming from fear. At that moment you start thinking about your situation, your family and what you already have from his list of twelve riches of life. I am still working on the twelve riches of life myself. As Napoleon Hill said: "This book ("Grow Rich with Peace of Mind") is written by a man who has found peace of mind the hard way, by trial and error. Its purpose is to help others, find their own peace of mind, along with money-success, by a shorter and less costly route." I highly encourage you to read it even it is not as popular as "Think and Grow Rich."
In "Think and Grow Rich" famous book I read over and over the chapters on Persistence and Burning Desire. The use of Imagination and "Invisible Counselors" meetings for problem solving are fascinating. Many similar mental techniques were developed and published by many authors since Napoleon Hill first edition.
His Master Mind group meetings are like my experiences from meditation. I used at the end of meditation to ask for resolution on my current life or business problems. Is it a prayer? Ask and you shall receive applies. You should ask with emotion and the burning desire is the key for success.
From my practice I say it is working like putting a seed of your thoughts in the field of all possibilities and from there coming into reality.
It is not a random fact that an American wrote about riches. The USA life offers an abundance of all forms of riches, sufficient in both quality and quantity to satisfy all reasonable human desires. Every reader will aim for his share of the things that money can buy and also of things money cannot buy.
